So, this is the end of the 2012 year! We made it to the finals, guys! Yey!

TISA would like to thank EACH one of YOU for being with us this awesome semester!
 
Two main events: TISA 30th ANNIVERSARY SCAVENGER HUNT and END OF YEAR PARTY - marked the end of this year. The four amazing teams participating in the Scavenger Hunt (from November 12 till November 30) did fantastic job and got astonishing prizes (credits to our amazing president Airin Aguilera). Here are the teams:
 
1st place: Almendra Piedra, Camila Lopez and Adriana Sierra
2nd place: Camila Martinez, Jose Argudo, Valeria Salluzo and Eugenia Ochoa
3rd place: Pedra Shanny Minnis, Kirsten Major, Saskia Griffith, Danielle Fields and Mbongeni Mtetwa
4th place: Yousra Nawara, Nadine Suliman , Momen Mahmoud and Virginia Chamunorwa.
 
Regardless of whether you participated in the Scavenger Hunt/ kept track of it/ wished to participate but was busy/ could not make it (which is very sad!), the best part of that busy week was the celebration that it was over. “Finally Saturday!” – we all thought. And there was a reason for it! December 1 was the TISA END OF YEAR PARTY at Club One7two (check out the photos of your pretty faces on TISA Facebook Page).
 
And this is it. Now we are left with finals and winter break! We are hoping you guys had fun. Cause we did :)

The nomination period is Sunday (November 4th) till Tuesday (November 6th).

Both first years and upper year students are highly welcome to nominate themselves and other responsible and interested people ( :) ) via tisatrentu@gmail.com .

Very -very basic financial skills are required (you use them everyday anyways, it should not be hard for you, dear friends!)

The speeches wil be held on FRIDAY, November 9th, and the elections will be on MONDAY and TUESDAY (November 12 and 13) at Bata and Wenjack.

AFROBANA is the biggest cultural show of the semester, held annually in November! The show gives Trent students the opportunity to share African and Caribbean culture through song, dance, drama and other means of creative expression. This year, Afrobana will be held on November 17th in the Wenjack theatre.

The first audition will take place this Saturday, October 13th in the Wenjack Theatre. If you have an act that you wish to perform in the show, please e-mail tacsugroup@gmail.com for the application form and submit is by Friday, October 12th at 12pm. 

If you cannot make it to the auditions,  fill in the form and either :
1. provide a video of the act or 
2. send a representative to the audition to provide a general description of the piece and how it has progressed to date.

Don’t miss the auditions for the brightest celebration of this semester!

We’re halfway through the mid of the term! (That sounded complicated but it is actually true!) It’s time to get together and share our bright September -October experience, including TIP camp, ISW, Trent World Day, all possible BBQs, clubs and groups celebrations, classes (suuuure…) and, the last but not the least, appreciate FREE food! 
 
At this point, what can be better than Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend?
 
We’re looking forward to seeing you all at out TISA Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday, October 6th at Sadlier House (751 George St N)at  6-7 pm or  7-8pm (whichever round you prefer). Make sure you grab you FREE ticket at TISA office (Champlain College Cabinet) from October 1 (Monday) to October 5 (Friday). 
 
After that, share our Record-breaking Multiculturalism at TISAlympics,  WHEN? October 7 (Sunday), 9 am – 6pm, WHERE? Trent Athletic Complex and Stadium. Here’s the plan of the day:
 9:00 Meet at AC
9:30 Intro, tees and waiver forms
10-12:00 Volleyball
